The essentials
This website provides information about the MyShaolin app. You can visit it without telling us anything about yourself. There is no account, no contact form and no newsletter here.
We use no cookies, run no tracking or visitor statistics, and embed no third-party content (no external fonts, videos, maps or social media elements). Fonts and images are loaded from our own server.

Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you open the website, the server processes technically necessary data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, amount of data transferred, previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system. This data is stored briefly in the host’s log files and then deleted. We do not combine it with other data and do not evaluate it on a personal level.
The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and error-free operation).
Language selection
When you open the root address, we forward you to the German or English version based on your browser’s language setting. Nothing is stored in the process.
Contact by e-mail
If you send us an e-mail, we process your details in order to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete messages as soon as they are no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply.
Links to other services
The website links to the Apple App Store, Google Play, the website of the Shaolin Cultural Centre Frankfurt and to myshaolin.app. These are plain links: as long as you do not click them, no data is transferred to these providers. After clicking, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
The MyShaolin app
The app has a user account, training progress, purchases and notifications – so different data is processed there than on this website. All details are set out in the privacy policy of the app.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). An e-mail to the address above is sufficient.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Wiesbaden, Germany.
